Having a Health and Fitness Plan During the Holidays Is Good

Two weeks til Thanksgiving, six weeks til Christmas, seven weeks til New Years…  are you giving up?

The passage of time is a tricky thing when you don’t feel like time is passing.

So where are you in terms of your health/fitness plan for the rest of this year?  Are you giving up for the next 7 weeks, starting again on January 1st?  I hope not.  A lot of damage can be done or a lot of progress can be made in these next 7 weeks.  The choice is up to you.  This choice is going to be easier if you have a plan for the holidays.  Can you commit to a minimum number of workouts for the next 7 weeks?  Can you choose the 80/20 rule (make healthy choices 80%of the time) to get you through the end of the year?

You can do the holidays with a health and fitness plan.  There are several great reasons for sticking with (or even starting) your plan and not waiting until January to start (again).  Here are a few:

  1.  You will feel better about yourself.  Whether you are attending a party or trying to get through the hustle and bustle, you will have more energy and confidence.
  2. Finding something to wear will be more fun.  Whether you are rummaging in your closet or shopping for something new, clothes will fit and look better.
  3. You will already have a head start come January.
  4. You will have sessions already on the calendar with you Health and Fitness Coach which means you get the times convenient for you, not what’s left over.

Seven weeks can be the difference of 7 pounds.  And you are going to be so busy, you won’t even know the time passed.
